The Macan is a compact luxury crossover SUV first introduced by the German automaker Porsche in 2014. The Macan moniker comes from the Indonesian word for tiger. An exotic name for a vehicle that stands apart from every other SUV and crossover in its segment.The Porsche brand stands apart as well. A completely refreshed Porsche Macan debuted in 2022, and in 2023 the model is the best it has ever been. The Macan is currently available in 4 variants, all of them with Porsche Traction Management (PTM) active all-wheel-drive system. The Macan, Macan T, Macan S, and Macan GTS. 2.0L 4-Cylinder Turbo-charged engine:

• Macan – 261 Horsepower, 0-60 MPH in 6.0 Seconds
• Macan T – 261 Horsepower, 0-60 MPH in 5.8 Seconds

2.9L 6-Cylinder Twin-turbo-charged engine:

• Macan S: 375 Horsepower, 0-60 MPH in 4.6 Seconds or 4.4 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package
• Macan GTS: 434 Horsepower, 0-60 MPH in 4.3 Seconds, or 4.1 seconds with Sport Chrono Package

Within the two engine options for the Macan line, there are two power variants available. The Macan is the base for the 4-cylinder variant and Macan S is the base for the 6-cylinder variant. The Macan T and Macan GTS are the quicker variants. The Macan T gets a reduction in 0-60 time through standard options like Sport Chrono and Suspension Management, reinforcing its sportier nature compared to the base 4-cylinder variant. The Macan GTS, as the most powerful Macan available, is more aggressive in terms of the standard spec sheet and outward appearance, as well as the available options.

 

 

Adaptive Cruise Control is now standard in all 2023 Macan models, while the Premium Package Plus equips the SUV with almost every must-have option, like Blind Spot Warning (Lane Change Assist), Surround View Camera, and upgraded sound.
